SUPPRESSING ANGER
Many people hesitate to admit that they are angry. suppressing anger does nothing to eliminate it. suppressed anger resembles mold living in a damp basement. you may not see it, but it's spreading. It does not go away on its own.
So, even though suppression is a choice it's not a desirable one. Psychologists usually define suppressed anger as anger that is not expressed or dealt with at the time of its occurrence. In some cases, suppressed anger isn't even felt at the time of its occurrence, and, in extreme cases, the cause of the anger itself may be eradicated from conscious memory. Example A person who is angry will suppress his feelings of anger by counting to 10 or meditating, which means, he is consciously undertaking this action of controlling his anger. Whereas, a person who represses his anger will deny its existence altogether by putting up a cheerful front.
